VMU international alumni were invited to join ambassador‘s programme

VDU

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) has recently launched Unibuddy, a platform to connect prospective students from around the world with its current students, alumni, and staff. Who but the graduates know all ins and outs about application, pros and cons for choosing specific study programme and so on. Among the first cohort of 50 ambassadors, 8 alumni responded to the invitation to share their experiences.

I decided to join Unibuddy because it is a straightforward way for students-to-be to receive accurate insights about the programs they are interested in. The prospect students can communicate in real-time with real enrolled students or graduates who are willing to share their stories. They get a broader picture of what they will live, especially if they are foreigners: student life may be different if you a foreigner abroad,” says Angelica Peccini from Italy, Sociolinguistics and Multilingualism Master‘s programme alumna (2015-2017).
I remember myself before my study abroad experience get started. I have been living in Kaunas for several months when I decided to apply to VMU. I was lucky to meet the current students and staff in person, see the university buildings, ask my questions, and dispel doubts. It helped me to make the decision about my studies at VMU. Now, future students are lucky as well, because they’ve got Unibuddy! I think it’s an optimal platform, if you have a question about a course, being a student, or the city of Kaunas. You just send a message to one of our friendly student ambassadors and start chatting. Making choice about your future has never been easier!” says Ganna Tron, the Student Ambassador Manager of Unibuddy at VMU and in the same time alumna of Education Management Master’s programme (2017-2019).
