VMU Alumni Will Share Job Interview Insights at "Towards Yourself'24"

VDU

Whether it's your first or tenth interview, we invite you to learn valuable insights on preparing effectively, presenting yourself confidently, and making a lasting impression on potential employers. The prospect of a job interview can be daunting, but with proper preparation, it's a surmountable challenge. At "Towards Yourself'24: Shine in a Job Interview," expert speakers will guide you through strategies to stand out and captivate your future employer.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to attend two one-hour online sessions featuring international alumni and other professionals sharing their real-life job interview experiences. Gain valuable insights from both positive and challenging encounters, and empower yourself for success in your future interviews.

Two of the “Towards Yourself’24: Shine in a Job Interview” events will be one-hour online meetings with our international graduates and others who will share their experiences. Come and listen to the real stories of our alumni, including both positive and, of course, negative experiences with job interviews. On March 21st, you will hear stories from Lakshya Dave (VMU alumnus, MA in the Applied English Linguistics) and Samanta Kaupaitė (VMU alumnus of the Food Safety and Quality BA programme and the Agronomy MA programme).

More about our speakers:

Lakshya Dave (current position: Growth Marketing Manager): “I have taken and conducted interviews throughout my short 4 years long career. Worked at 4 different places in Lithuania and Cyprus. I’ll be sharing what I can about jobs in marketing from my limited experience. See you soon!”

Samanta Kaupaitė (current position: PhD candidate at Lithuanian Research Center for Agriculture and Forestry): “During my studies in VMU, I learned that to find a perspective job, you shouldn’t always study and work. Nowadays, it is important to expand your network! I have been a part of different unions and used Erasmus+ study opportunities twice while I was studying in the university. After graduation of master studies, I did European Solidarity Corps volunteering and participated in all kinds of Erasmus+ projects! It is never to late to explore! See you at the event!”
