This year’s theme – “VMU Alumni – The New Generation of Sensemakers” – invites participants to explore how today’s young professionals navigate uncertainty, build resilience, and create meaning in their personal and professional lives.

  • Are you feeling nervous about life after graduation?
  • Feeling stressed or burned out?
  • Unsure how to turn your ideas into something tangible?
  • Feeling lost when plans don’t go as expected?

This event is made for you!

Meet the Speaker: Oleksii Minenko

Oleksii Minenko from Ukraine graduated from Vytautas Magnus University in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations. Today, he works at Phoenix as a Dispute Administrator and also freelances in recruitment and career consulting.

Oleksii will be one of the key speakers at the hybrid alumni discussion “VMU Alumni – The New Generation of Sensemakers,” which will take place on Friday, November 14, from 16:00 to 17:30, both online via Microsoft Teams and onsite at the VMU Senate Hall (S. Daukanto g. 28, Kaunas).

Whether you plan to join us online or in person, please register here to take part in this inspiring conversation.

Presentation topic: “Inner Balance as Sensemaking: Aikido, Crisis, and the Quiet Return to Self”

From the halls of Vytautas Magnus University to the corporate world, Oleksii’s presentation traces a personal journey through the loss – and rediscovery – of self. It explores the process of finding meaning through deep inner work and reflection.

Participants will reflect on the principles of Aikido, the experience of burnout, and the power of silence as a method of sensemaking. Together, we will uncover how cultivating inner balance can serve as a compass – guiding us through crisis and back toward authenticity.
