From Campus to Career: How Being an Active Student Shapes Your Future

VDU

University is not just about studies – although, of course, academics are important. It’s also about networking, cultural experiences, and integration events. During the discussion titled “VMU Alumni – The New Generation of Sensemakers” on November 14, current students, alumni, and anyone interested will have the opportunity to learn more about the impact of student engagement and how it helps build your CV and develop key skills for future employment.

Meet Mostapha Alahiane from Morocco, the speaker on the topic "From Campus to Career: How Being an Active Student Shapes Your Future."

He graduated in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Educational Management. Starting in September 2025, he began a new chapter as an English teacher at Kaunas Jonas Jablonskis Gymnasium. As he mentioned, teaching has always been his passion, and now he will focus on helping students improve their language skills and enjoy learning.

"In this talk, I will share how my active involvement at Vytautas Magnus University through programs like ESN, the Mentorship Program, and the Ambassador initiative helped me develop essential skills such as leadership, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication. These experiences not only shaped my personal growth but also prepared me for my current professional role as a teacher. I will reflect on how student engagement can create meaningful impact, offer practical advice for navigating post-graduation challenges, and inspire students to turn their university experiences into future success."
