VMU Alumni Day: Sensemaking Through Action

VDU

The annual VMU Alumni Day is back, focusing on the timely theme: "VMU Alumni – The New Generation of Sensemakers." This event is designed for international graduates, current students, and the entire VMU community to explore how young professionals navigate uncertainty, build resilience, and create meaning in a rapidly changing world.

If you're feeling nervous about life after graduation, stressed or burned out, or lost when plans go awry, this discussion is for you!

Meet the Speaker: Yesui Bayar

This year's discussion features Yesui Bayar, a former Mongolian Olympian in swimming and a 2023 VMU graduate from the International Politics and Development Studies Bachelor’s programme.

Yesui's journey is a powerful example of "sensemaking." While at VMU, she was an active Student Ambassador and volunteer. Since graduating, she has worked at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and currently serves as a Coordinator Training Operations at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva, where she also pursued her Master’s degree.

Topic: Sensemaking Through Action: From VMU to International Geneva

In her talk, Yesui will reflect on how curiosity and perseverance have shaped her path from VMU to international organizations. She will discuss the importance of trusting in good intentions and believing that consistent hard work creates meaningful outcomes, even when the journey is unpredictable.

Join us to gain insights on finding clarity in uncertainty and turning values into action!
